Mekong Homestay

Mekong Homestay is an authentic rural experience on Koh Paen, the idyllic Mekong island connected to Kompong Cham town by a famous bamboo bridge (rebuilt annually after the rainy season). The homestay is run by a farming family who offer a simple room in their traditional stilt house, home-cooked meals featuring river fish and vegetables from their garden, and the chance to experience genuine rural Cambodian life. The island is car-free and best explored by bicycle, passing through fruit orchards, vegetable farms, and small villages. Watching the sunset over the Mekong from the island is an unforgettable experience.
