She is fluent in English and French and has conversational Khmer. When she is not editing, Sophie runs a photography project documenting Phnom Penh's rapidly changing urban landscape and serves as a volunteer English teacher at a local community centre.

James has lived in Siem Reap for over twelve years, making him one of the team's longest-standing Cambodia residents. He came originally to write a travel guide to Angkor and never left. Over the years he has made it his mission to document every temple in the Angkor Archaeological Park and has completed multiple trekking expeditions in Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri, and Koh Kong provinces. James is a former Lonely Planet contributor and has written for several international travel publications. Nataša moved to Cambodia from Kyiv in 2016 and has built her professional life as an educator and community organiser in Phnom Penh. Sophearith is the team's primary authority on Cambodian law, immigration regulations, and business compliance. A trained Cambodian lawyer educated at the Royal University of Law and Economics in Phnom Penh, he brings academic legal knowledge combined with practical experience advising foreign individuals and businesses operating in Cambodia. He reviews all content related to visas, work permits, business registration, property ownership, and legal services for accuracy against current Cambodian law. Sophearith also contributes Khmer cultural context that helps ensure our guides are respectful, accurate, and genuinely useful to international visitors. His bilingual fluency allows him to review Cambodian government sources directly rather than relying on translations, giving our legal content a level of accuracy difficult to find elsewhere.

Amara arrived in Siem Reap in 2018 on a volunteer placement and discovered a passion for connecting travellers with authentic local experiences. She now coordinates our network of on-the-ground contributors — Cambodian guides, homestay operators, craft artisans, and community leaders across multiple provinces — who provide the ground-truth details that distinguish our guides from those written at a desk. Amara manages relationships with community tourism operators in Chi Phat, Chambok, Kompong Phluk, and the Cardamom Mountains region. She is particularly focused on responsible tourism practices and ensures that our community tourism content actively promotes experiences that benefit local communities economically. Her work has been recognised by the Ministry of Tourism's community tourism initiative.

Our food coverage is produced by a rotating team of five food writers, each based in a different Cambodian city. The team covers Phnom Penh's evolving restaurant scene, Siem Reap's tourist dining landscape, Kampot's renowned pepper cuisine, Battambang's growing local food culture, and Sihanoukville's seafood restaurants. Between them, they have eaten at hundreds of restaurants, food stalls, and markets across the country. Collectively they have been living in Cambodia for an average of seven years each. Our food team is particularly passionate about elevating traditional Khmer cuisine — amok, kuy teav, lok lak, bai sach chrouk — and documenting the regional variations that most international guides ignore. They contribute restaurant guides, dish encyclopaedia entries, market guides, and food delivery app reviews.

Cambodia Authority Hub's visual content is produced by a small team of professional photographers, all of whom are long-term Cambodia residents. Our lead photographer has had work published in National Geographic Traveller and several Southeast Asian travel magazines. The team specialises in temple and cultural photography (Angkor, Preah Vihear, rural ceremonies), landscape and nature photography (Cardamom Mountains, Tonle Sap, Koh Kong), and urban documentation (Phnom Penh architecture, Siem Reap street life). All photography used on the site is original — we do not use stock images for destination guides. The photography team also produces instructional content for our photography guides, advising travellers on the best times, locations, and techniques for capturing Cambodia's iconic sites.
