Cambodian Living Arts — Apsara Dance Workshop
Cambodian Living Arts preserves and revitalizes Cambodia's traditional performing arts, which were nearly destroyed during the Khmer Rouge era. Their Apsara dance workshop introduces participants to this UNESCO-recognized art form through hands-on instruction from professional dancers. You'll learn basic hand positions (the curve of the fingers tells the story), footwork, and the meaning behind the movements that have been performed at Angkor for over 1,000 years. The workshop takes place in a beautiful heritage space and includes a brief performance by the instructors.
