Sam Veasna Center
The Sam Veasna Center (SVC) is Cambodia's foremost wildlife and birdwatching organization, offering guided expeditions to see some of the world's rarest bird species. Based in Siem Reap, SVC operates tours to Prek Toal on the Tonlé Sap (home to the world's largest colonies of spot-billed pelicans and milky storks), the Northern Plains (giant ibis — Cambodia's national bird), and Kulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary. Guides are expert birders who know exact nesting and feeding sites. All revenue directly funds bird conservation and pays village guardians who protect nesting sites.
