Let's be honest: if you came to Mondulkiri looking for nightclubs, you are in the wrong province. Sen Monorom is a small highland town of about 10,000 people at 800 meters elevation, and by 10 PM most of it is peacefully dark. But that darkness is the point.

The evening hours in Mondulkiri are when the province reveals its most magical side. As the sun drops below the western hills, the temperature falls to a pleasant 18–22°C (rare in Cambodia), the forest comes alive with nocturnal sounds, and the sky becomes a planetarium.
