How to Get From Battambang to Siem Reap
The Battambang to Siem Reap route is the reverse of one of Cambodia's most scenic journeys. In the wet season you can take the legendary boat up the Sangker River and across Tonlé Sap; year-round, buses and minivans cover the 170 km on National Road 6.
Our Recommendation
In wet season (roughly July–March, water permitting) the boat is a bucket-list ride. Otherwise take a bus or minivan — reliable, cheap and about half the time.
