    Cambodia Casino & Entertainment Guide

Cambodia has a legal, regulated casino industry that's unique in mainland Southeast Asia. From the gleaming NagaWorld in Phnom Penh to border-town gaming halls, here's everything you need to know about gambling and entertainment in the kingdom.

    Key Facts

Cambodia legalized casinos for foreigners in 1994. Cambodian citizens are banned from gambling by law. There are approximately 150 licensed casinos nationwide, though most are small operations near borders. NagaWorld in Phnom Penh is the flagship — a billion-dollar resort that rivals anything in Macau.

    Beyond Casinos: Entertainment in Cambodia

Phare Circus (Siem Reap & Battambang)

Cambodia's world-class circus combines acrobatics, theater, music, and storytelling. Shows at 8 PM in Siem Reap ($18-38). The original campus in Battambang also hosts performances. This is genuinely the best entertainment in Cambodia — don't miss it.

    Apsara Dance Performances

Traditional Khmer classical dance, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Performances at hotels, restaurants, and the National Museum in Phnom Penh. The elaborate costumes and graceful movements depict stories from Hindu mythology.

    Kun Khmer (Cambodian Boxing)

Cambodia's traditional martial art, similar to Muay Thai but with distinct techniques. Live fights at TV5 arena in Phnom Penh on weekends. More intimate and traditional than Thai boxing. Entry from $5-10.

    Nightlife Scene

Pub Street (Siem Reap) — $0.50 beers and tourist nightlife. Bassac Lane (Phnom Penh) — craft cocktail alley. Koh Rong — beach parties and bonfires. The nightlife is cheaper than anywhere else in Southeast Asia.
