Prasat Andet is a beautifully restored pre-Angkorian brick temple tower located along the main highway between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Kampong Thom Province. Dating to the 7th century, this single octagonal brick tower with sandstone decorative elements stands in excellent condition thanks to a 2007 restoration. The temple features fine carved lintels depicting Vishnu and floral motifs characteristic of the pre-Angkorian period. As a convenient roadside stop, it offers a quick but worthwhile introduction to pre-Angkorian architecture and can easily be combined with a visit to nearby Sambor Prei Kuk.
