Three early Angkorian brick towers from the Roluos period — among the oldest temples in the Angkor region.
Prasat Prei Monti is a group of three brick towers dating to the Roluos period, making them among the earliest Angkorian structures. Located south of the Roluos Group, the towers stand in a field and retain traces of stucco decoration and fine carved sandstone lintels. The temple is almost never visited by tourists, offering a completely authentic and solitary experience with early Khmer architecture. Archaeological studies have revealed that the site predates the main Roluos temples by a few years, providing important evidence about the earliest development of the Angkor region.
