The standout experience is paddling through the flooded forests of Stung Treng—a Ramsar-listed wetland where trees grow in the river and Irrawaddy dolphins surface nearby. Mekong Flooded Forests

The Mekong River near Stung Treng and Kratie offers one of Southeast Asia's most unique kayaking experiences. During and after the wet season (August-February), the river floods into the surrounding forests, allowing you to paddle among submerged trees in an ethereal landscape.
