Ek Phnom Arena & Training
Primarily a fight venue with occasional training sessions. The real draw is legendary Sunday fight nights.
About Ek Phnom Arena & Training
Ek Phnom Arena is not primarily a training facility—it's Battambang's legendary fight venue. But understanding where the fights happen is essential for any Kun Khmer enthusiast.
Sunday fight nights at Ek Phnom are among the most electric sporting events in Cambodia. Local fighters compete in bouts that mean everything to their communities. The crowd energy is intoxicating.
Occasionally, training sessions are offered at the arena, but these are irregular. For consistent training, head to KKB Boxing Club and come to Ek Phnom for the Sunday fights.
Entry to fights costs $5-10 for tourists. Arrive early to see the Kun Kru ceremonies—fighters performing sacred dances before combat. It's a spiritual experience as much as a sporting one.
Food vendors surround the arena on fight nights, creating a carnival atmosphere. This is Cambodia at its most raw and joyful.
