Prasat Kompong Preah is a cluster of pre-Angkorian temple towers located in Kampong Thom Province, featuring some of the finest carved lintels from the Chenla period. The site consists of several brick towers with beautifully carved sandstone lintels depicting intricate floral scrollwork, makaras (mythical sea creatures), and figures from Hindu mythology. Some of these lintels are considered among the finest examples of pre-Angkorian decorative art in Cambodia. The temples are located in a rural setting and are rarely visited, offering archaeology enthusiasts an authentic and undiscovered experience with some of Cambodia's earliest artistic achievements.
