    Cambodia Airports

Three international airports serve the Kingdom. Phnom Penh (KTI — Techo) for business and long-haul, Siem Reap (SAI) for Angkor temples, Sihanoukville (KOS) for beaches.

Phnom Penh's airport changed in 2025

Since 9 September 2025, flights to the capital use the new Techo International Airport (KTI), about 20 km south of the city. It replaced the old Pochentong airport (PNH), so check the code on your ticket and allow a longer, 45–60 minute transfer.

Which airports does Cambodia have, and can I get a visa on arrival?

Cambodia has three international airports: Techo (KTI) serving Phnom Penh — opened September 2025, replacing the old Pochentong (PNH) — Siem Reap-Angkor (SAI) for Angkor Wat, and Sihanoukville (KOS) for the coast. All three offer visa on arrival for most nationalities: a 30-day tourist visa is $30 (USD cash plus a passport photo), or you can apply for an e-Visa online before you fly.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How many international airports does Cambodia have?▼
Cambodia has three main international airports: Techo International Airport (KTI) in Phnom Penh — which opened in September 2025 and replaced the old Pochentong airport (PNH) — Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport (SAI), and Sihanoukville International Airport (KOS). All three handle international flights, with Phnom Penh being the busiest.
Which airport is closest to Angkor Wat?▼
Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport (SAI) is the closest airport to Angkor Wat, located about 40km from the temple complex. The new airport opened in October 2023 and replaced the old Siem Reap airport which was much closer to town.
Can I get a visa on arrival at Cambodia airports?▼
Yes, all three Cambodian international airports offer visa on arrival for most nationalities. The cost is $30 for a tourist visa (T-class) valid for 30 days. Bring a passport photo and USD cash. You can also apply for an e-Visa online before arrival.
Is Grab available at Cambodian airports?▼
Yes. Ride-hailing apps (Grab, PassApp and WowNow) work at Techo International Airport (Phnom Penh) and Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport. At Sihanoukville, official taxi counters are the main option. Ride-hailing is usually cheaper than a counter taxi.
Do Cambodia airports have Priority Pass lounges?▼
The Phnom Penh (Techo) and Siem Reap airports have departure lounges, and several Cambodian airport lounges participate in Priority Pass. Because the Phnom Penh lounge operators moved with the switch to Techo in 2025, check the Priority Pass app for the current participating lounge before you travel. Sihanoukville has more limited lounge options.
How early should I arrive for international flights in Cambodia?▼
Arrive at least 2.5 hours before international flights and 1.5 hours for domestic flights. During peak season (November-February), add an extra 30 minutes as immigration and security lines can be longer.
