Overview
O'Smach–Chong Chom is a remote, low-traffic crossing linking Thailand's Surin province with O'Smach in Oddar Meanchey, and onward to Siem Reap via Anlong Veng. It sees few tourists. Visa on arrival is available but e-Visa is not accepted here. It is currently closed along with all Thai land crossings.

- 2Complete Thai exit formalities
- 3Cross to O'Smach and get a $30 Visa on Arrival (no e-Visa here)
- 4Continue by shared taxi to Anlong Veng, then Siem Reap
Transport
Limited public transport on both sides. From Surin, buses/songthaews reach Chong Chom; on the Cambodian side, shared taxis run via Anlong Veng to Siem Reap (~3h).

- •e-Visa is NOT accepted here — bring USD cash for Visa on Arrival
- •Very quiet; not ideal for first-time overland travellers
- •Useful if arriving from the Isaan region of Thailand
