The "twin" of Thommanon, restored by China — with a distinctive raised causeway and fine narrative pediments.

Chau Say Tevoda sits directly across the road from Thommanon and mirrors its twin in size and style, though it was built slightly later. The temple was restored by a Chinese team (in contrast to the French restoration of Thommanon), and the different restoration approaches are interesting to compare. The temple features a distinctive raised causeway connecting the eastern gopura to the main sanctuary, and its pediments depict vivid scenes from Hindu epics including the Ramayana and Mahabharata. The devata carvings, while not quite as refined as Thommanon's, are still excellent. The temple takes its name from a legend about a local woman named "Chau Say" who became a celestial being.
